說明
1.
Homework
40%
In order to prepare yourself to build up your portfolio (e.g. essay, article, short story, editorial, transcribed and translated interview, monologue) you need to complete some homework regularly during the course. These are peer-reviewed and revised accordingly. Four or five of them are evaluated formally by the teacher.
2.
Peer review
20%
Peer review Throughout the course, you will be working with a partner to whom you will offer feedback and comments on their writing pieces. One of your reviews will be assessed at the end of the semester.
3.
oral presentation
20%
Oral Presentation The oral presentation includes a summary of your experiences in composing articles and self-correcting them. The presentation, which takes about 8-10 minutes, includes the reviewer’s comments on a student’s final draft that would have developed into a model of a specific writing genre (e.g. essay, article, short story, editorial) for a specific audience (e.g. children, young teens, teenagers, parents, pre-service language teachers).
4.
attendance
20%
Attendance Attendance in all classes is an important requirement in this course. You are expected to be present at all sessions. Yet, you are entitled to three excused absences during the semester. If due to some unavoidable circumstances, you are not able to attend class, the instructor expects you to present a slip of leave of absence to be formally excused from class.
